Open Workshop
Join a scheduled public session alongside other business leaders and hiring managers, working through a real hiring scenario together. The easiest way to experience the workshop before committing your whole team to it.

The workshop
The keynote shows you the framework. The workshop makes your team run it. Two or three hours, hands on, built around a real hiring decision: a shared case study when we run it as an open session, or your own live roles when we bring it in-house.

Why this, why now
Most hiring managers already know, in the abstract, that they should interview better. What they don't have is the practice. A keynote shows the framework. A book explains it. But a workshop is the only format where someone actually writes the SPEC, weighs the TALENT criteria, and runs the mock interview before it matters.
So the first time they do it for real isn't the first time they've done it at all.

A working session, not a talk
Training that ends at the door changes nothing. In this session your hiring managers write the SPEC, argue out the criteria, draft the questions and practise the probes, against a shared case study in an open session, or roles they are genuinely trying to fill when we run it in-house.
By the time it finishes, the process is written down, agreed and owned by the people who have to use it.

However You Want It Delivered
Join a scheduled public session alongside other business leaders and hiring managers, working through a real hiring scenario together. The easiest way to experience the workshop before committing your whole team to it.
Run just for your team, built around the live roles you're hiring for right now, on-site, at a venue, or delivered live online. Your team leaves with a hiring process built on their own open roles, not a hypothetical.
A tailored session for a learning event, conference breakout, leadership offsite or team day, same framework, shaped to fit the time and format you've got.

What you leave with
For a real hiring decision: the shared case study in an open session, or one of your own live roles in-house.
Every hiring manager scoring the same criteria the same way.
Competency questions and probes, mapped to your criteria.
Structured, personalised, and used only on your finalists.
Your team talking about candidates in evidence, not impressions.
A hiring process your team can run next week.
The facilitator
Stephen leads Talent Select, where psychometric assessment and validated aptitude testing have shaped real hiring decisions since 1985. He doesn't run this as a theoretical exercise — every framework in the room has been pressure-tested against actual client hires, and he adapts the session live to whichever roles and personalities are actually in front of him.

The same rigour behind Talent Select's client work, not a workshop invented for the room.
Known for getting a room to actually produce the SPEC, the scorecard and the interview guide, not just take notes.
Frameworks built from real client placements, not generic training content.
Shapes the exercises around founders, HR leaders, or a mixed hiring panel, whichever is actually there.
The goal isn't a good session, it's a hiring process your team is still using six months later.
